cubism dream

Last Sunday was absolutely gorgeous here in Vancouver. I had gone to West Van the day prior and realised how amazing it would be to take pictures from the Lion's Gate Bridge, so I figured because Sunday was sunny it was the perfect opportunity. I walked across and through Stanley Park, finally ending up on the southeast end at English Bay. There were actually kids playing in the ocean, that's how nice it was. The last two shots are looking west at sunset.

read more than whats written

One thing I haven't had an opportunity to do much of since moving to Vancouver is go thrift/vintage shopping. I was told by a friend to check out a store called Mintage on Commercial Drive, and I must say I was not disappointed! I found this amazing Christian Dior short for only $44 and a bright satin cardigan for $5 (that's for another time). In the next place I went into I found a Levi's denim jacket for $24 and cut the sleeves off when I got back to make a vest. I coupled the two pieces and added a necklace from Forever 21 and my dark wash jeans from H&M.

oceanic

So these are the unedited products of possibly the most beautiful sunset I have ever witnessed. One of the best things about living on Burnaby Mountain is that there are days where it's super cloudy in Vancouver but up here its totally clear. The oceanic waves in the clouds are something I've never seen before in real life and it was unbelievable to watch.

paradise

I got a telephoto lens for my camera for Christmas and I haven't really got an opportunity to use it until today when I decided to go to Burnaby Mountain Park by my dorm. The top pictures are of Burrard Inlet facing north. The last three are of downtown Vancouver; the second of the three is of Burrard Inlet facing west and with the Lions Gate Bridge and the third with Hastings Street in the foreground.

coming home

So apparently university is time consuming, just to state the obvious. That's the reason I haven't been posting lately. Here is my collection from when I went back home for Winter Break. They're mostly from Canmore, which as you can see is absolutely gorgeous in the winter. It was -25 the entire time I was there so I couldn't stay out for very long to take more pictures, but I am happy with how these came out.
