Bushmills

So, I'm still adjusting to life back in Calgary even though I've been home for a week now. I just love Ireland so much, I'd love to go to Queens University in Belfast or Trinity College in Dublin for an exchange. I also live the style of Ireland; it's far superior to Calgary.
My pictures from the top are: Church gates in Belfast, a pier in Carrickfergus, a view of the north coast of Ireland, the Giant's Causeway (4), me at the Giant's Causeway, and me outside the Bishmills Distillery.

you fit me better than my favourite sweater

So I would just like to apologise for not posting sooner for this look. I've been so busy the past few days trying to catch up with everything since I got back from Ireland. I also have exciting news! Not only have I been accepted to Ryerson University in Toronto for Psychology, I just found out today that I have been accepted to Simon Fraser University in Vancouver. Now the decisions start. As well, just to let everyone know, I have edited a few pictures from my trip so far and I'll post them either tomorrow or Saturday when I post my latest look.
Anyways, so this look is composed of all new articles I bought in Belfast and Manchester. I had my first Topman experience in Belfast, and honestly, it did not live up to the hype for me. Plus none of their pants fit me; all too short. But I did manage to find a nice black blazer for my graduation that fits me way better than any I've tried in Canada.
What I really like about this look is how light my shorts and shirt are. It made me feel like it was finally spring to wear this outfit and not be cold. I really like the length of my cardigan with my shorts as well.

Ireland

Hey everyone! First of all, sorry for not posting lately; I've been super busy with work, dance, and school the past few weeks leading up to today when I leave for Ireland!! I'm going to compete in the World Irish Dance Championships in Belfast and I promise to post my look I wore overseas and picture from my trip once I get back next Saturday! These are just a few pictures from my trip last year to Killarney and London!

summertime sadness

I am so ready for summer. Even though Spring Break is in 2 days, I really only long to be done high school and have summer. I saw this bare tree and I liked the idea of using it metaphorically to represent how winter is so harsh and how ugly it is. The idea of wearing an outfit with my sleeves rolled up in spite of winter was an idea I wanted to show. I haven't ever used my plaid scarf in my blue/black cardigan in a look before, but I really liked how the colours went together with my sand coloured Club Monaco shirt. As much as I love the wash of my Levi's jeans, they are too short for me, hense why I wear them with my higher combat boots. I hope everyone likes it :)

we promised the world we'd tame it

I found my brown cardigan after 4 months and I was excited to post a look with it after all this time! I wanted to keep it bright and springy, so I added my turquoise v-neck and blue, purple, and white scarf. I wanted to contrast these colours with my lower half to make them pop even more, so I decided to wear my darker blue jeans and my dark brown boots. Feel free to comment!

PS, my recent addiction to the album Silent Alarms by Bloc Party is where the title for my look comes from. Have a listen!

bend and break

Well, I got basically the same hair cut as last time, but what does everyone think of it?
I am aching for summer, and this weekend's warm weather has made it even worse. I decided to make a warm, bright look, and center it around my blue boat shoes. I rolled up my khakis and grabbed my turquoise v-neck and navy blazer to add a little contrast and there we go!

the world is black and white

If I were to be asked what the most important thing in an outfit is, I would have to say colour. In every outfit I wear, I always pay close attention to the detailing of the colour. For this look, I decided that it would be cool to have a very muted black and white tone, but then throw in a dash of brightness. I really liked the idea of using my vintage scarf because of the way it incorporates the red, gold, and green together, and against the lack of colour of the rest of my outfit, it really stands out. Enjoy!!
